How IBM is using cognitive to transform its intranet experience
Presentation from Intranets2017
Over the past three years IBM have rolled out a new global intranet solution aimed at making IBM’s 300,000 employees happier and more productive. Most recently, IBM took their own cognitive analytics technology and applied it to the problem of improving intranet search.
Using this successful implementation as a case study, in this presentation, Fergal will:
- showcase how IBM have applied cognitive analytics within their new intranet environment
- demonstrate how natural language questions can be used to search, and find, the right information, faster
- illustrate the impact of the new search solution on staff productivity
Fergal leads the cognitive go-to-market team that includes Watson, Internet of Things, commerce and digital services for IBM Australia and New Zealand. Fergal has global experience of the impact of advanced analytic solutions within organisations – most recently working with large financial and government organisations in Australia. His expertise and passion lies in the application of IBM Cognitive Solutions, Watson, predictive analytics and machine learning.
