Step Two’s privacy and GDPRS policies

We take your privacy seriously, so we’d like you to know how we use your information. We also understand our responsibilities under legislation such as GDPRS (and similar rules outside of Europe).

Put simply:

  • We only collect information you provide to us and none of this information is considered sensitive. If you don’t provide us with information, we don’t know anything about you.

  • If you’ve given us your information for a specific purpose (downloading a white paper, joining our newsletter, contacting our team, registering for an event, or joining Forum) we will also use your information for sharing subject matter expertise via our newsletters, white papers or marketing.

  • The information you provide may also be stored in our customer relationship management (CRM) system, and we may use this information to contact you on a future date.
  • You can unsubscribe from our newsletter or marketing posts at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe, your information will still be stored but only to make sure you don’t accidentally get added back on to our contact list. This means that if you’d like to resubscribe, you’ll need to contact us to let us know.

  • If you’ve purchased products or services via our website’s ecommerce facility, or paid for a webinar or conference via our chosen ticketing site, we cannot view your credit card details.

  • Global membership of the Step Two Forum is via annual subscription. Payments are handled via Stripe, a third party payment processing platform.  By default, your credit card details are held securely by Stripe to enable automatic renewal.  These details cannot be viewed by Step Two.  You have the ability to remove those credit card details at any time, as well as switch to manual rather than automatic renewal.
  • We’re happy to delete your information if you ask us to.

  • We will also on request share all the information we’ve collected about you.

  • We don’t sell or pass on your details to third parties, and we don’t buy or collect information from third parties.

  • We do use third party software to store your details but the accounts belong to Step Two and can’t be released to other organisations.

  • If you fill in a form, we’ll know your current IP address. This is different to general web analytics, as IP addresses aren’t associated with your name within analytics reports.
  • Membership to the Step Two Forum FaceBook page is entirely voluntary. The page is governed by FaceBook’s privacy policies and settings.

  • If any of our systems or third party tools are breached and your personal information is compromised, we’ll let you know immediately.

  • We’re an Australian organisation and as such, your details are held in Australia, although some of the third party software we use might be hosted in other countries such as the US.

  • If you have any concerns regarding the privacy of your personal information, or if you want to see or rectify the information we hold about you, please contact [email protected].

  • You can take any privacy complaints to the appropriate supervisory authority for your location.

Cookies and tracking

  • We use cookies to remember your login details to the Step Two Forum members only site.
  • We track general website statistics using Google Analytics, but none of this is linked to personal information.

  • We also use codes provided by Google and LinkedIn to support our website marketing.
  • If you’ve come to our site from a LinkedIn, Twitter, or Google advert then the respective company will know, but we don’t know who you are as an individual.

  • We use YouTube videos in our site, and if you play these, Google may be able to identify you using your Google/YouTube account.
