Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu (NZ)
Pihanga - a window on ourselves in a bicultural organisation
Presentation from Intranets2017
About my talk
Learn of our journey and how we went from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint online Office 365, This was a journey of both patience and cultural intent within a bicultural māori organisation. The result was both upgrade and a simplified intranet with meaning and purpose that reflects the cultural and corporate considerations of our organisation.
About me
Ngāi Tahu are a resilient, entrepreneurial people who made our home in Te Waipounamu (South Island) over 800 years ago. Our ancestors were the first long distance seafarers, riding the ocean currents and navigating by stars on voyaging waka (canoes) from Hawaiki Nui. So you can understand, for me, It’s all about the journey!
With a a creative and active mind, I am always seeking to learn more. After 14 years of being a SharePoint team of one, working with SharePoint since Office SharePoint Server 2003 was released. I am proud of the journey, and to have delivered a project with vision and purpose.
