Engaging the masses & relaunching MyCSIRO

Topic

The overarching goal of the redevelopment of CSIRO’s staff intranet was to create a user-centric digital platform that provides information and enables communication, collaboration, tools and activities in a way that is effortless, faster and easier to find.

After a complete redevelopment of the intranet, the project team was faced with the huge challenge of educating and energising the dispersed group of over 200 new and existing intranet authors.  With the bold aim of generating whole-of-organisation buy-in, the team focused on promoting the improvements made, and the benefits offered by the new site.

The session will cover:

  • taking a hands-on and multi-channel approach to author engagement via boot-camps, webinars, face-to-face CMS training and user guides
  • the critical role of stakeholder engagement in supporting the organisational transition to the new site
  • the multi-faceted creative digital and print launch campaign (including a special viewing of The Office-style lo-fi launch video)
