NAB
Practical governance for large intranets – the rules and the realities
Presentation from Intranets2016
About my talk
NAB’s 10,000 page intranet spans 200 sites and is supported by a publishing community of over 100. With the move to SharePoint2013, setting the new intranet up for long-term sustainability was paramount. This was a golden opportunity to design and implement a new, robust governance model that catered to the needs of the intranet team, the publishing community and NAB employees. Two years on, Catherine will share some of the governance practices that help maintain the integrity of NAB’s intranet. This session will cover:
- practical governance tips for making intranet management easy
- managing a huge intranet with a one-person team – biting off what you can chew
- maintaining buy-in and engagement from a large, decentralised authoring community
