Profile
James Barnett is Senior Digital Communications Advisor at the NZ Super Fund, New Zealand’s sovereign wealth fund and largest investor with more than $70b in assets under management. He led a transformational project to deliver a new intranet as part of a Modern Workplace Programme and is the business owner for the intranet.
Aside from the intranet, James also looks after the websites, social media, creative content and brand identity. He is responsible for designing and implementing communications plans to support cross-functional initiatives including enterprise strategy, risk management, culture and development, change management, employer branding, and the adoption of AI.
James has a master’s degree in marketing and professional accreditations in public relations and corporate affairs, as well as a wealth of experience from the telco, financial services and government administration sectors.
