The one secret of storytelling: how to make people care

Topic

Psst… want employees to actually care about your latest strategy, launch or tech update? In this session, Kym Logan shares the single secret behind storytelling at work — and why most corporate stories fall flat. Drawing on a decade leading NAB’s internal newsroom, Kym walks through practical techniques for earning attention and emotional buy‑in, with real examples (including launching Viva Engage) and a clear‑eyed look at how AI can help — and hinder — the process.

The session will cover:

  • the hidden truth behind stories that land
  • practical tips to make people care
  • where AI fits into modern storytelling (and where it doesn’t)
