An intranet leading cultural change

Two years ago, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) initiated a business transformation program to find ways of improving efficiency, communication and collaboration, and develop a culture of innovation and openness.

This presentation will highlight some of the features of our new intranet and its launch. The new intranet leads the way by embodying the principles underlying positive cultural change.

In particular, the new intranet:

• puts business needs at the centre
• prioritizes design simplicity for sustainable, cost-effective products
• supports a culture of increased transparency and the democratized ownership of corporate knowledge
