Anglicare Sydney: Delivering an intranet via a best practice roll-out
Social care organisation Anglicare Sydney has redesigned and replatformed its Connect intranet. Based on Interact intranet software, the new site is available for all frontline staff on personal mobile devices for the first time. The project has been delivered using an eight-step methodology which includes using personas, extensive input from users, and a structured approach to content review and migration.
Notable features in the new intranet include a robust approach to content governance, reflected in features such as the ability to check for duplicates before a new page is created. A separate homepage for residential care workers facilitates quick access to essential resources. Improvements to search have also been enabled through best bets and keywords. So far, the new intranet has had a positive impact, with an uplift in adoption in a relatively short time, and time saved for employees.
