Coca-Cola Europacific Partners: Launching one global comms platform
Cola-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) replaced Workplace from Meta, used in Asia-Pacific markets, with Redline, a social intranet based on the Sociabble platform already being used in European locations. This established a single intranet and social platform across the company. As Workplace was already popular, the associated change management approach for the rollout was carefully considered. The team undertook extensive research to design the change program.
Project highlights include introducing underlying governance to design a communications ecosystem focused on remedying pain points, a healthy focus on supporting frontline needs, and a decision to launch in Australia, the most complex market, first. Redline also has a number of features to support engagement and uses auto-translation at scale.
Overall, a smooth rollout has supported an increase in adoption.
Why this won a Gold award
This is a very well executed change management campaign with a strong, well-thought-through methodology.
- We love the emphasis on discovery and user research to design the rollout and change around real user needs, driving value and adoption.
- The decision to launch Redline in the most challenging market first was a savvy one, helping inform the wider rollout while keeping momentum.
- We like the emphasis on balancing global and local requirements, with the team working closely with local stakeholders.
- There is a strong emphasis on supporting frontline access.
- Redline itself has some strong features, including multi-language support and effective personalisation, while also creatively reflecting the iconic Coca-Cola brand.
- The rollout has been successful in replacing Workplace, while increasing adoption and introducing a less fragmented comms landscape.
