Relevance, research, and AI: Running a global intranet in a world that won’t stand still
Topic
MySource is the intranet at BCD Travel, which supports 15,000 employees across 25+ countries. It has grown from a pre-pandemic-era launch into a critical digital front door for the business. But its success has not come from a single launch moment. It has come from running the intranet as a product, with continuous iteration, clear governance, and a relentless focus on what employees need.
At the core of this approach is a strong reliance on research. Year-after-year benchmarking has helped shape strategy, secure investment, and continually refocus the roadmap on where it matters most. Now the landscape is shifting again. AI is no longer theoretical. It is here, and it is changing expectations fast. Rather than standing still or waiting for a perfect plan, Beth and her team are actively integrating AI into a live intranet environment, testing Copilot and chatbot experiences, and learning what it really takes to make this work in practice.
This session shares a practical, behind-the-scenes look at how to evolve a mature intranet while everything around it is changing.
Beth will cover:
- evolving a mature global intranet through a disciplined product mindset
- leveraging year-on-year benchmarking to shape strategy, secure investment, and continuously reprioritise the roadmap
- integrating AI into a live intranet environment, with hard-earned lessons from Copilot and chatbot pilots, and the content, structure, and governance foundations required to make it work at scale
