EY: Introducing a suite of high value AI-powered solutions

EY’s Markets Engine is a set of AI-powered apps, based around four high-value use cases, which generate answers and output from Discover, EY’s custom global knowledge sharing platform.

Users can use prompts to retrieve assets that help them to win new work, with some output already in formats such as PowerPoint. The Credentials Engine retrieves credentials to use with potential clients, while the Proposal Engine retrieves assets that can be used as a starting point to build a presentation. The RFP Answer Engine generates specific RFP responses and can analyse a whole RFP document.

The Collection Engine, still in development, is an ambitious solution that automates much of the submission process for new assets to add to Discover, supporting KM. Benefits include better support for teams involved in winning new work and significant time savings. The Markets Engine continues to evolve.

Why this won a Gold award

  • We love the way this project builds on the success of the Discover platform, as well as EY’s investment in AI.
  • We like the way the apps focus on high-profile use cases with obvious business benefits rather than more generic AI-driven productivity.
  • There’s real innovation and high ambition behind this initiative, particularly with the Collection Engine and its attempt to automate KM.
  • There’s a healthy emphasis on change management, with a detailed activation plan in place.
  • We like how the output is delivered in file formats, meaning it can be used more quickly.
  • The concept of the automated RFP responses, just by feeding a PDF document into the Engine, has the potential to be a huge time-saver.
  • The results are a little early to tell the full value, but initial adoption and ratings for the Credentials Engine are certainly encouraging.
  • There’s a continuity in design and features that pave the way for EY to quickly develop further solutions.
