Dentons Australia: Creating a custom solution for controlled documents
The Australian offices of global law firm, Dentons, have developed a custom document management solution using SharePoint Online, designed to help manage and distribute controlled documents.
Initially developed to support access to legal precedents and replace iManage, Springboard is now used for a number of other use cases, including company policies and a CV database. Future uses are also planned.
The project was delivered through a detailed seven-stage project methodology in a relatively short period. The solution uses both custom and out-of-the-box SharePoint web parts. Features include a “mandatory reads” capability for company policies, and a number of detailed document workflows.
Springboard has improved KM within Dentons, which is critical for client delivery. It has also saved time and costs, and helped to facilitate the adoption of AI through the use of Copilot.
