As the year draws to a close, we had the great pleasure of catching up as a team in person in Brisbane. We had productive discussions in the afternoon, and then a wonderful evening meal with perfect weather beside the Brisbane River.

Many thanks to all of our clients that we worked with in 2025, from across Australia and as far afield as the USA! As always, it was great to catch up with everyone at DEX 2025, and to spend time throughout the year with the members of the Step Two Forum.

After a well-earned rest, we’re looking forward to 2026!

Our approach to AI in 2026

Our face-to-face team gathering was the ideal opportunity to continue our internal discussions and thinking about AI, and how we can be of help to our clients and beyond in 2026.

We’ve sustained a unique approach to digital workplaces for almost three decades, and we’ll be continuing to build on this in three streams:

Helping individuals prosper with AI. We’ve established many strong relationships with our clients and Forum members over the years, and we will be helping them grow their AI knowledge and to put those skills to work. This includes members of internal comms, intranet, digital workplace and KM teams.

Helping organisations deliver value with AI. Our approaches are always driven by a focus on digital employee experience, and AI is no exception. Our role will be to provide a unique mix of strategy and pragmatism to help shape successful approaches. We’ve already released our AI framework for the digital workplace, and we’ll be releasing two new frameworks in the new year, watch this space!

Helping the community thrive with AI. Members of our Step Two Forum have already been sharing their AI learnings in 2025, and this will continue throughout 2026. Beyond this, what the community needs are case studies of real-world AI success, and we expect our Intranet & Digital Workplace Awards to handsomely address this in 2026. Don’t forget the early entry program is open now!

The coming year will be make-or-break for workplace AI, and we’ll be with you every step of the way!
