Step Two Forum: membership agreement
The Step Two Forum has thrived for more than 20 years by fostering a trusted, supportive, and confidential community where members can openly share experiences, challenges, and lessons learned. A key part of this success is the commitment of every member to respect the privacy of discussions and the confidentiality of the stories shared within the community.
This page outlines the responsibilities and expectations of Forum membership, helping to maintain a safe, respectful, and productive environment while ensuring members gain maximum value from participating in the community.
All prospective members must read and agree to these principles and conditions before joining the Forum.
Membership criteria
Members must be actively involved in the support or operation of your organisation’s digital workplace, intranet, or digital employee experience. Membership is open to organisations in both the public and private sectors, including educational bodies and charities.
Membership is not open to vendors or consultants. We reserve the right to cancel memberships that don’t meet these criteria (and we will refund membership fees in full in these cases if cancellation happens within the first 30 days of membership).
Confidentiality and privacy
As digital workplaces and intranets are by definition hidden from public view, it is important to protect the confidentiality and privacy of members and their stories.
This includes:
-
- never giving member details to a third party (including vendors), without the express permission of the member
-
- not sharing other information, including any resources produced by the Forum, Step Two outside of member organisations
-
- ensuring that the complementary Step Two reports and other materials are only used within your organisation
-
- not sharing your member passwords or other access details with non-members
As convenors of the Forum, Step Two will protect the privacy of members, and will not pass on details to any third party.
