Hi Bella, yes, I do think that KM can be done without IT support, although activities would need to be carefully chosen. Some of the narrative and community of practice approaches could work particularly well.

(And no, I'm afraid we don't have an African office at present, and are busy enough in Australia at the moment!)

Dear Mr. Robertson,

Hope this massaege finds you well.

I am a University Lecturer in Nairobi Kenya, teaching in the Department of Library and Information Science at Kenyatta University Nairobi Kenya (It has a website that you can check for verification).

Your name has featured allot on Knowledge management issues over the net. As a young proffessiional in this field, I had a couple of questions and comments that I wanted to share with you, among them;

1. Can Knowledge Management be practised without IT/ICT. This is a question that I get from workshops that I run for especially NGO world in Kenya, since most of them operate in araes which are at zero in IT infrastructure. I will appreciate the possibilty of you offering links to some articles that you have addressed on this particular questin

2. Is it possible for one to get training with your organization and possible sponsorship.

3. Is there any chance of partnership with me as a colleague in this field ie, an office that supports the STEP 2 operations to be opened up here in Nairobi which can serve as a regional (Eastern, cantarl and Southern Africa) office

I will appreciate your assistance on the above and any other issues that you might dimm necessary for me.

Thank you,

Yours faithfully,
