While the official announcement of this year’s Intranet Innovation Awards is not far off, we can’t resist giving bit of a sneak peak of what to expect.

This year we have winners from the USA, UK, Denmark, Russia, Australia and New Zealand. Some of the award-winning ideas will include:

  • Way for staff to complete tasks that seamlessly integrates the intranet and SAP.
  • Ideas system that has identified concrete savings of $8 million.
  • Innovative web 2.0 style mechanism for connecting staff and projects.
  • Integration between the intranet and mobile devices.
  • Elegant online approach to a common HR process, slashing weeks of time and eliminating frustration.
  • Wiki that allows all staff to publish and share key industry news.
  • SharePoint-based team collaboration that is completely aligned with project management methodologies.
  • Innovative way of getting staff questions answered in a matter of hours, across a global business.

If you’re in Australia, come along to our free afternoon events in Sydney (November 5), Melbourne (November 10) or Canberra (November 26). You’ll hear what’s been done, see screenshots, and gain valuable insights.

  1. James,
Very interested to see the “SharePoint-based team collaboration that is completely aligned with project management methodologies.”
Innovatia has been doing some interesting things internally with SharePoint 2007 for Project Management and specifically with managing XML topics and publishables located in a seperate CMS as part of the project.

  2. Bradley, sounds like you should consider entering into the 2010 awards! :-)
