Most intranets are over a decade old, and like a well-worn house, they’re somewhat battered, but still used every day. For 15+ years, Step Two has supported the teams running these intranets, quietly providing practical knowledge and real-world insights.
A transformation is underway.
Organisations have realised that a single-minded focus on the client or customer is not enough. To be successful, the muscles and bones of organisations must also be strengthened.
This has shone a light on the enterprise, highlighting the weaknesses stemming from decades of underinvestment. It has also revealed the opportunities that lie waiting to be exploited.
Intranets are now hot topics again, revitalised by new technology and new thinking. Enterprise social and collaboration is increasingly taken for granted, and the ‘digital workplace’ is widely discussed.
A new brand
We enter this new age with renewed energy and confidence.
The meaning of our new logo is simple: we help organisations move from disorder to order; from uncertainty to certainty; from confusion to clarity.
We’ve always had a talent to see order in chaos, and to deliver practical and useful advice. With more than 15 years under our belt, we now have a huge body of expertise to draw on.
A new website
Alongside the new brand comes a new website. (Ten years late I hear you say! Yes, you’re certainly right, but in our defence, we’ve been busy.)
We will continue our support of the intranet and digital workplace community via regular articles, insights and updates, and our best-practices books and reports. Our consulting practice is growing, and we’re working with a wide range of clients to tackle often highly complex situations (our favourite!).
Like all website projects, everything has come together in a mad dash to the finish line, so apologies in advance for any spots where the paint is still wet; we’ll fix any glitches and bugs over the coming weeks.
We won’t be resting on our laurels. Very soon we’ll also be launching a number of new initiatives, which will further explore the leading edge of our industry.
It’s been a fun ride so far, and here’s to another decade (or two) working in this exciting and satisfying industry.
