2008 Global Intranet Strategies Survey: now open for entries
Categorised under: Intranets
This is the third year of the Global Intranet Strategies Survey, run by Jane McConnell. This is the definitive survey into intranet strategies, futures and realities. The survey is now open for entries, and it will close on August 31.
The 2008 data will provide fresh input on current hot intranet topics, including:
- Will “Search” be in better health this year? 2007 showed that it is a major pain point not yet being properly dealt with.
- Will social media used internally reach the point of no return? In 2007 over 70 % of the organisations said they are experimenting with social media in their intranets. Will this have matured into value-added services for enterprises?
- The highest planned investment priority in 2007 was user-centred design and usability. Did this happen?
- Is the often vague role of “Intranet Manager” becoming a new profession? What expertise and skills are required? What is the future of this role?
- How are companies facilitating the work of virtual teams made up of internal and external people who need to share information that is behind firewalls?
To participate in the 2008 Survey, send an email to Jane McConnell for more information. Include your name, title, organization and number of employees. You’ll then receive your personalised link to the on line survey platform.
Important note: participants in the survey will obtain a free copy of the report 2009 Global Intranet Trends, which will be published in October 2008. (Estimated retail price: 500 US$.)
