Steve Byrne, Senior Consultant

Steve is an organisational psychologist specialising in workplace knowledge and information solutions. As a senior member of the consulting team, Steve works with organisations to deliver successful intranets and to resolve information management challenges.

Since 2003, Steve has been consulting in usability, knowledge management and organisational people-centred interventions with commercial clients that have included Macquarie Group, Allianz, KPMG, Commonwealth Bank, Gulf Air as well as significant public sector agencies. He has also held the position of Knowledge Manager for the professional services division of a global organisation. In addition, his experience includes significant assignments in Asia, Europe, US, South America and the Middle East broadening his sensitivity to cultural differences and different communication styles.

Steve has all the deep dive expertise around intranets that you would expect for the project calibre that Step Two Designs is known for, but brings particular insight around people in organisations.

Helping people be the best that they can be is his passion. A thorough understanding of the interplay between people, roles, job design and performance gives Steve the opportunity to help solve some of the more intractable people issues such as building staff and stakeholder engagement, improving work processes, delivering change within difficult  cultures, improving work processes, encouraging collaboration, and building staff and stakeholder engagement,

Steve, as a registered psychologist, holds a BSc honours and masters degrees in psychology and has a postgraduate degree in knowledge management. Steve also has an engineering degree.
