Stephen Byrne, Senior Consultant
Overview
Stephen is a specialist in knowledge management, combining this with years of experience as an organisational psychologist. As a senior member of the consulting team, Stephen works with organisations to deliver successful intranets and to resolve information management challenges.
Since 2003, Stephen has been consulting in usability, knowledge management and organisational people-centred interventions (including selection assessment, leadership development, workforce planning). His clients include a range of private sector organisations (Macquarie Group, Allianz, KPMG, Commonwealth Bank, Gulf Air) and public sector agencies (ASIC, Workcover NSW, Department of Defence). He has also recently held the position of Knowledge Manager for the professional services division of a global organisation. In addition, his experience includes significant assignments in Asia, Europe, US and the Middle East broadening his sensitivity to cultural differences and different communication styles.
Stephen has expertise in the following areas:
- conducting user research including usability testing and staff interviews
- interface design, wireframing, card sorting and expert reviews
- developing knowledge frameworks and underlying information architectures
- assessing enterprise social networking use and strategies
- training development and delivery
- coaching and leadership development
- organisational behaviour and its assessment
In addition to earlier Engineering qualifications, Stephen also holds a BSc honours and masters degrees in Psychology, is a registered psychologist, specialising in Organisational Psychology and and has a post graduate degree in Knowledge Management.
