Serena Joyner, Senior Consultant
Overview
Serena brings expertise in aligning information systems with business strategy, and coaching teams to deliver them. Most recently Serena managed a team of geographic information systems professionals for the Sydney Catchment Authority, guiding them from being a tiny expertise centre into a becoming a highly valued and visible team making spatial and catchment information readily available to staff for decision making.
With experience across the natural resources, utilities and professional services industries, Serena has led projects and teams through the delivery of:
- website and intranet redesign
- information system needs analysis, design and development
- information strategy
- knowledge mapping
- online and offline collaboration
- project and program management
As a skilled communicator, Serena has particular experience in facilitating communities and teams, both face-to-face and using appropriate technology. She has experience in online collaboration, social network facilitation and group problem solving techniques.
Serena enjoys tackling problems strategically and tactically. She combines this with her highly effective communication skills to help teams break through blockages and navigate their projects to delivery.
